Chief executive officer of The Oaktree Foundation
Sashenka is a young woman of colour, who is passionate about creating a more just world — free of poverty, inequality, conflict and suffering. Having grown up in Sri Lanka during civil war, she has seen first-hand the consequences of injustice and has committed her life to creating a different reality.
She is currently the CEO of Oaktree - an international development organisation of young people leading, demanding and creating a more just world. With over 250,000 supporters, Oaktree is the largest youth organisation in Australia. She is also the youngest ever board member of the Australian Council for International Development.
